Repost. ;) ... But still a great video!
I would expect nothing less form a union rep.

That guy sounds like every other cop I've ever talked to. But I like that he can talk like that to the cameras, most cops can't. Someone needed to kick the liberal media in this area square in the face.
Nice statement. Good to see someone tell the media that what they are doing is very wrong.
Background: San Francisco Police Officer Nick Birco was killed July 26, 2006 when his police car was struck by a stolen van occupied by suspects who had just committed an armed robbery and were being pursued by SFPD units. This video was of a press conference given by a member of the SFPD.

I love this video. Can we clone this guy?

Man that guy is great.
Amen to that!
We need more folks like him. It's nice to see someone willing to stand up, speak his mind, and paint the bulls eye on some liberal bench sitting weenies that care more about their 2 oclock tee time than they do about keeping the bad guys where they need to be.
That guy has a cold one waiting for him here in SC if he ever makes the trip
I'm Addicted to placebo's..... I'd quit, but it wouldnt make any difference.
I love him!

I sent him an email with a heartfelt thanks. He may take some flak about his comments, but I wanted him to know I appreciated what he said.
We need more like him everywhere!

While I too liked this guy’s comments I don’t think I am as “touched” as others. Sadly this guy is not a police chief or even a high ranking administrator sticking up for the troops. He is a leader in a labor union.
Gary Delagnes is a union representative. He is paid by the officers to speak on their behalf. He will not suffer any flak or political consequences as some have suggested. He has the guts to stand up and say these things because that is his sole job, to represent officers.
I would expect nothing less from a union official. If those of you that belong to a union do not have this type of representation, you are paying the wrong person.
