Community and Police Interaction Idea!

Ok im going to try and make this short and sweet and im typing rather fast so if I miss any periods or anything don't mind me.

Anyways, I am working to put together a "Lan Party" where people play against each other at different videogames and generally have a good time without causing any problems. Now I was thinkin wouldnt it be a good idea to have say a few uniformed officers from different departments come and join the event? I mean like perhaps make a little segment where the officers compete with other officers in games and stuff. Would this be a good idea to get the community and police to interact? I am just throwing around ideas here and I think it would be a really neat cause, perhaps even raise money for community stuff like playgrounds and stuff.

Feedback would be great! Ideas are also welcome!

I love lanning, and would think it would be a GREAT idea. If it were close to NC, I would deffinatly consider going, especially if it's for cs 1.6, or bf2 :D
