Dallas will accept military service instead of a degree...

But I agree - lack of a degree doesn't mean that someone wouldn't make a good officer, and neither does lack of military service. And vice-versa - A degree or military service doesn't mean they'd make a good officer!!!

I think what Dallas is trying to do is weed out all the dumb****s and goof-offs on the front end, to make their recruiting jobs easier, and so they'll be less likely to be sued for racially-biased or gender-biased tests, etc, when they reject a dumb**** on a personal basis - but in my opinion that's not the way to do it.

But they're not likely to care about my opinion, so if I were y'all, I'd just go get the quickest 4-year degree you can get (doesn't even matter what subject the degree is in, I don't think) and then apply.

    LEO's: Am I very far off-base here???

I saw a sign just like that one in the bathroom at Miller Park in Milwaukee, while watching the Cubs demolish the Brewers. Except the one I saw was for Scottsdale, AZ police department. Must be some kind of marketing thing that departments are trying out.

I was afraid to snap a picture of it though. Didn't want anyone to get the wrong idea

I've got a little problem with having someone holding their Johnson and looking at a law enforcement ad.

Too much of the public already thinks we are those. ;)
