Hey Moe!
My application process is a great deal different from most locals. Our application packet even has a psych portion sprinkled in there.
For the interview portion, we covered why you want on the team, first and foremost. They may also ask you in what ways can you contribute to the team better than those applicants with whom you are competing. There's a good chance they will want to know about your applying of the use-of-force policy in the past, as well as how you would apply it given a situation.
Most teams want a team player, a guy who will give 110% and someone who can get the mission done. Reliability and dedication, coupled with mature decision making, are the earmarks of a great operator!
Feel free to PM or email if you have more specific questions.
