How do you become part of Interpol? Is there an Interpol headquarters in the US?
Also, is the French Foreign Legion police or military? What do they do? Do you have to be French to join?

No- a majority of the French Foreign Legion is not French (good thing for that - lol)
Isn't Interpol strictly a European thing between the various countries in Europe? - I don't think an individual can become a member. Interpol is HQed in London
Interpol, i.e. International Police is made up of several countries including the good ole USofA.
However, you don't get hired by Interpol as a criminal investigator. Generally, all major US fed agencies detail agents to Interpol for a period of time. They are employed and paid by there parent agency, i.e. BICE, FBI, DEA, etc., however, are detailed to Interpol.

You don't want to be in the FFL.
Why not? If its good enough for Jean Calude VanDamme, its good enough for me. :DYou don't want to be in the FFL.
No really, why not?
And thanks Swat. Didn't know that about Interpol. I thought you could just join.
Hey,
Everything you need to know about the Legion:

I wanted to join the legion when I was younger but thankfully I joined the US Army instead. I know people who joined the legion, some went AWOL and some did their 5 yrs, all of them are not right in the head!
If on their offical site they advise you on how and when to go AWOL, then you know something is not right.

LOL, every time I hear that name I think about what happened that night at Scores when he decided he was tougher than Chuck Zito.Originally posted by Orleander

Chuck comes back from the bathroom, where he has heard that JCV-D was talking trash about him and he confronts him in a fairly nice way.
But, JC was not exercising the best judgment that night... POW.
Anyway, on the FFL thing:
I can't explain that to you. You're a civilian and you don't have a point of reference that would allow me to make any meaningful explanation.
Don't take that wrong, I'm not trying to put you down and it's certainly not your fault.
It's just that there are thungs that most be experienced to be understood and being a soldier is one of them.
If you REALLY want some excitement and fun, join the US Army and as your enlistment choice, choose the 82nd Airborne Infantry. Make sure your recruiter knows that you don't just want to be in the unit, you want to go to jump school as well.
Why do I feel like my Dad just told me "Because I said so".Anyway, on the FFL thing: I can't explain that to you. You're a civilian and you don't have a point of reference that would allow me to make any meaningful explanation.
