    Darn!

I woke up this morning to find both my truck windows smashed in and blood smeered on the door. The masterminds who did it scored a checkbook and an adult magazine. So I have to call the bank this morning. I had left my keys in the truck, but locked the doors. When I went out to get the keys out this morning with my spare, I noticed the damage. Whoever broke in, did it to steal the truck. Little did they know, I've been jumping it for the past week since the battery died. My friends truck was in the driveway, he didn't lock it so that saved his windows. He is missing a checkbook as well. The perps took a shirt from my truck to wipe the blood off their hands, and left it in my friends truck along with their hammer. About the same time I discovered it a patrol was driving past, he stopped and talked. Hes my next door neighbor. He took some photos and collected the hammer and shirt. Then he noticed some blood smeered on the side of his patrol car. Someone had tried to break into his take home squad. Hopefully they will nail the guy, but in the mean time: thank god for full coverage auto insurance.

Yeah, I am pretty upset. Was it really necessary to break both my windows? Must have been cracked out on something.

    Brad,

You know me so you know I cannot resist. Crime is a fact of life. Do not be angry over a car burglary, unless you are mad at yourself for leaving your checkbook and keys in the vehicle.

I have a feeling these brazen thieves will be caught.

As always Tex, I appreciate your view. I am not so much angry at the fact that they broke my windows (I have full coverage, so it won't cost me a dime). If anything I am kind of upset they took my magazine, I didn't even get a chance to read the articles !

I responded to a car burglary once where the owner was very upset and angry. He said, with many expletives, "This is the third time my truck has been broken into and my expensive stuff has been stolen (as I remember, camera, gun, and the like). Why the hell are you guys never around?"

I informed him that you'd think after the first time he would figure it out and quite leaving stuff in the truck.

Well yeah your right Tx about the guy leaving his stuff in his truck but when your vehicle gets broken into you feel violated. And it's natural to get upset when you get violated. It's also very inconvenient. You sometimes have to take time off from work to get estimates on getting your windows replaced. And what if it rains while your windows are busted out? Yeah if your covered by insurance it may not cost you anything monetarily but it's a pain.

    Heehee.

I am not saying he deserved it, but after he was burglarized twice and a bunch of stuff stolen you would think he would quit leaving the expensive stuff in his truck.

Is guy a slow learner or what?

You know the definition of insanity?:D

Last night at around 3 a.m. I was on the way back to my house. I was driving the loaner vehicle from the shop while having my windows replaced. While I was parked on the side of the road dropping off my friend (he lives on the same block I do, we all got broken into) my next door neighbor pulls out with his squad. This is when I pull away as well. He drives by and slows down, and then my pop falls over so I pull over to pick it up. I look in my rear view mirror and he's still there. So I start to move when he jacks around with his lights and sirens on. He slams his door shut, comes up to my window and accuses me of breaking into his squad? He rambles on and on, until I produce my driver's license that shows my address to be on the street. What confuses me is this: The guy has been my neighbor for 3 years? He wrote the report on my truck...shessh
