    car prowls

I had my truck ripped on a daylight smash and grab last March. Left an indoor gun range where my wife and I were testing her new duty wpn. I had a bag-full of some other wpns, We left (approx 1300) after putting her gear bag and my gun bag into the canopy of my truck. Locked canopy, drove 4 miles in 15 minutes, stopped for a sandwich. As soon as we got served, the cashier yells that someone drove upbehind my truck, smashed my rear canopy door with a hammer, grabbed the very same bags we carried from the range to the truck. Other luggage wasnt touched. That means we were watched loading the 2 bag and followed from the range. Non-descript crook in non-descript vehicle, but good witnesses got lic number, it was a recent stolen. Lesson learned, (1) check your six after you put a gun in your vehicle, and (2) not all gun ranges tell the truth about security camera systems. These range operators just post signs, no cameras. Where? Spokane WA. All wpns in NCIC.

Some doughhead kept trying to hotwire my cv sitting in my driveway - I'd go out to go somewhere and there would be a screwdriver in the seat and all my stuff all over the place. I wasn't locking the doors because I didn't want the windows broke (I have no insurance) shhhhh! So, after the third time I called the police and he said they couldn't do a thing about it - didn't want the screwdrivers because they had no suspect to match prints to (I now have a collection) - now I ask ya - who in the hell would want to steal a 1985 Crown Vic? LOL

    Darin:

Let's not BUST on Bustytata and her vehicle. The 1985 Crown Vic is almost a classic car. I am sure it is big, roomy and drives like a dream.......

you should be seriously worried about the checkbook theft. in my area, identity theft is big business. they'll take the routing numbers off of your checks and make their own using bogus information. eventually, those checks will return back to you, regardless of the account being closed. you better flag your accounts now.

at the very least, contact these three credit agencies:

    http://www.experian.com/
    http://www.transunion.com/index.jsp
