    Left handed glocks?

Hey I just turned 18 on the 27th, and for my 18th birthday I went to the gun range down the street and shot a glock 9mm. That was my first time shooting and what a rush! I am a lefty and I didn't find shooting the gun difficult or anything, just the clip release was in a spot where I would have to bend my index finger and press the release. My right handed friend simply had to push the clip release with his thumb, which I find much easier. Just curious if they made glocks with the clip release on the right side.
    **Sucks being lefty sometimes**

    Thanks again,

The magazine release can be reversed on Glocks. You don't nead a special one - just the know-how of how to flip it.

The slide release cannot be flipped - nor can the ejection port, but the mag release on many modern pistols can be. Beretta 92 series can be as well.

I'm a southpaw too. I actually like keeping it on the left side and using my middle finger to push it in, but it is all what you get used to.

Guess I'm just too honest ---- I should have said that I can "modify it" for a price and to send it to me if he buys one

I've shot lefty all my life and once you get used to the general function of a firearm it becomes natural, regardless of which hand you shoot.

Hey Ironhead - want to give some more info on how to do this? My buddy just bought a 23 and he's a lefty. I'd like to be able to switch this for him. Thanks.

I was told it could be done. I am not a Glock armorer and to me, the holes in each side of the frame sure look different.

I don't see how it could be possible, but hey - like I said .... I'm not a Glock armorer.

Anyway - I have had my Beretta on the left and the right and although I am a lefty, I prefer the gun set up with the button on the left side of the frame - so I never really paid much attention to instructions on how to switch it.

I'm not even sure where I heard that - but the more I look in the mag-well, there is a ached recessed area for the spring to flex - it only flexes the one way .... I don't think this is a possibility - even if you had to buy another one - it just looks like it is impossible.

Now - I have switched it on my Beretta, so I know that is possible on the 92 series .... but I sure have doubts about the Glock. We need to hear from a Glock armorer. I'm sure they can answer in about 2 seconds.

Went shooting today.. I'm a leftie. I own a glock23(c). after discharging a round, the casing landed in my shirt and burned my nipple........

    that was quite the experience.

:D tooooo funny. The visual alone. OMG!!!

As to the lefty Glock, I know a Glock armorer here at one of the local PD's. I'll pass on the request to see if it can be done.
