"...what if you have a capacity for violence, and a deep love for your fellow citizens? What do you have then? A sheepdog, a warrior, someone who is walking the hero's path. Someone who can walk into the heart of darkness, into the universal human phobia, and walk out unscathed." LTC Dave Grossman
City commute. My city is a little over 26 miles in length and I live on the opposite side of the city from the precinct that I work in. I drive about 20 minutes in light traffic to get to work at night. It takes me 30 minutes in heavy morning traffic to get home. Fortunately, the sun is to my back when I'm coming home so my night owl eyes don't get burned out. :D
A mile. Can't complain about that - about the only thing I can't complain about with this job.

38 miles each way. City driving, country driving, you name it. Exactly one hour one way. It sucks.

I am getting ready to build on land that my wife and I are being given. It will be about an hour each way, but we will have our sanctuary and be out in the country. Add to that free land and I believe it is worth it.![]()
