I was a victim of credit card fraud last year. Some script kiddie bought scripting software for $29.95 and charged it to my Visa. Since I check my account status almost daily I caught it right away and reported it. Visa immediately canceled the account, sent me an affidavit of fraud, and sent me a new card.
I think my credit card number was possibly grabbed by keylogger spyware when I placed an online order on a friend's computer (I don't do that anymore!). When I ran AdAware on his machine I found VX2 spyware, and that is a keylogger.

My friend had the same thing happen to her, but it was on a VISA check card, not a credit card. Somebody ordered $120 worth of stuff from a place in California, and only an 800 number was listed.
She tried contacting the number, and they refused to do anything, said it wasn't their problem. She then contacted the bank, who wouldn't do anything either, since the company wouldn't.
Is she out $120 or is there still a chance?

I personally have only had one card frauded before, and I think it was just a mix up on the companies part, nothing malicious.
I have a ton of CC's, but only use two, for simplicity, plus they have been great companies to work with. Look at it this way, it could always be worse.

Someone tried a test on my wifes Debit card 2 days ago. Bank intercepted it refused and traced them. I would like to know who it is though!!:mad:

I have a great idea: Why not just run all your cards up to their credit limit, and then you don't have to worry about anybody using them without your knowledge? :D
