Thanks for the kind words and I agree, he's a real standup guy.

A guy on my dept, in fact he was in my academy used to have blackouts when he got really angry. I never worked in the same car with him, but several friends of mine did over the years. They told me stories of him getting extremely mad, throwing some guy around and then not remember doing it. Interestingly enough, he was a real mild manner guy. In fact, he coached a Little League team to the Little League World Series Championship a few years ago after he retired. But anyway, maybe this Sgt is like that. That would be scary to me, to do things I didn't recall.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine

Anyone know whether he was sentence to county or state prison? If he goes to county that would help his time there alot.
Why is it that all these jerkoffs seem to know about the right to remain silent, but I have yet to find one of them to actually exercise that right. -Legoate

It sounds to me like they did the guy a favor putting him away for a year. The feds were going to pick up a civil rights case against him if he was found not guilty. He would have done a lot more time in a federal pen if that was the case.

Yep, doing a cop does nothing for a local DA, but it can for a federal prosecutor.
