10-4 on that one USCG. That is always a common excuse for many infractions - too bad so sad!

I also agree completely with Sgt Pepper in that very few motorists comply with this law. When I mentioned that I believe this law to be many times difficult to enforce, I was refering to when you have another vehicle stopped for an infraction, (or whatever) and you are busy with the stopped vehicle.

We have set up operations to enforce this law and with much success; however when your already busy...anyway, don't wanna beat a dead horse here but that is what I meant.

The move over laws are great as well on multi-lane highway; however on the single lane, motorists NEED to slow down!

    Thanks for everyone's comments.

PA just enacted a new suspension penalty. 11 or more over the limit in a posted active ( workers present) work zone and you will lose your license for 15 days. Applies to ALL motorists.

Michigan was the first state to pass this law. It states. On any multi lane highway that is devided traffic must either slow down or move over the the next avaible lane when the emergency lights are on. Fine and jail time apply.

same is the senario on all roadways, slow down or move over.
