That's a pretty new one. We do not get assigned vehicles, so everybody uses the same cars. They get passed around a lot, and needless to say, some take better care of them than others. Shift changes can get intense. Especially if the vehicle is brand new. Nobody wants to find the car's first scratch on their shift:eek:

So how does each department decide how they want the car to look, what colors and such?

There are basic guidelines that are set forth for all Air Force SP Units to follow. Each SP vehicle has to have the SP Shield on each side of the vehicle and can be marked with the words "POLICE" or "SECURITY FORCES". LE vehicles are marked with "POLICE" so as not to confuse the public. Those are the basic guidelines, but the SP Commander at the local level is allowed to make additions if he chooses to. Each AF Base is different. The Impala in my last pic is used at Hanscom AFB, Mass., and the Intrepid is used at Wright-Patterson, OH. My next base is McChord AFB, WA. They are using Ford CVs, Impalas, and Dodge Rams.

I can find out for you. On www.sirennet.com, the Whelen LED Liberty bar is $1884 with a full set of 14 LEDs. That is without takedowns.
