Not wanting to be outdone by Ford's Police Interceptor package, Chevy has introduced this new "hybrid" vehicle...Originally Posted by SP_t_will

this is a Durango for Allegheny Township, PA.
I really like the design, their cars have the same design I think that looks really nice.
You'll have to tell us the story on this one. I can guess who was at fault.:pOriginally Posted by SP_t_will
Is there a difference between the cars that AF SP's drive and the DOD Police?
One Big Ass Mistake America
I don't know who is at fault but it may change my theory on the one with the most lug luts wins the accident![]()
This is my current assigned vehicle:
This is my secondary vehicle if the primary is unavailable:
Yeah, I know they look very similar but the primary is newer.
As for the story, I don't think I will ever know the real one, lol. There are a few different rumors. One of them says there were two SP's engaged in "other activities". But I'm sure that's just a result of the grapevine twisting the story, lol.Originally Posted by Piggy
As for the police vehicles we drive? There is no difference between our LE vehicles and the ones used in the civilian sector. All of the vehicles we use for LE purposes have "police packages" for the most part. CV's are Interceptors, Impalas are 9C1's, etc. The only exception would be if we get vehicles from other units that did not originally come with a police package. For example: When I was stationed at Langley, we had GMC sierras for our security vehicles. It also depends on the Unit's budget. Some Unit's have more money than others.
Here's an Impala for the Chevy guys.

So how does each department decide how they want the car to look, what colors and such?
Here's a department pic w/squads. Taken not too long ago, I'm not in it b/c I'm off season. I'll be going back in May when I graduate from school...I'd be one of the guys in light blue up top.
