My internship experience 6/9-6/11

Hay gang,

Just wanted to update you all on my internship. From Monday till today I have been at the Fairfax County Shooting range. The Herndon Police Department (the dept. I intern for which is a town in Fairfax County) just bought AR15/A3's so this week officers did training and also qualified with this weapon. I was assisting the instructor (my Sgt.) set up and officiate. The training was alot of fun but these last 3 days have been brutally hot, especially when I am in the sun for 9 hours. My Sgt. also let me shoot a little. Overall, my internship is going pretty well and I still have a huge interest into becoming a police officer. Friday night I will go on a ride along to finish up "adventure week"

Hay,

I am pretty surgical with the AR15. I guess it is kind of easy though. There isin't much recoil with the weapon.
