    IPD- Sherrif Merger

I am interested in going into the IPD academy when I turn 21 which is only four months away. My question is what is up with this police merger going on in Indianapolis? I tried doing some research into it but it seems there are no answers and it is all really confusing.

Now that the merger was passed is that good for the IPD as in recruitment funds? Will they be able to recruit more officers and if so why are they talking of spreading officers out to cover areas?

I am so confused on the issue at the moment, if anyone could enlighten me I sure would appreciate it. Is there a good chance IPD recruitment will open back up with the merger or no?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I would suggest you contact someone in the personnel division of IPD. They are the only ones who can answer your question. I seriously doubt they would mind talking to you if you are thinking of applying there.
Apparently, I'm supposed to be more angry about what Mitt Romney does with his money than what Barack & Michelle Obama do with mine
