I was curious if this would be worth the time and if I would gain any valuable experience? I plan to join the Sheriff's Department as a Patrol Deputy as soon as I am out of the Academy.
I have been invited by a friend to intern with her at the Alternative Sentencing Department where she works as an Officer. She said I would be sworn in and would assist the Officers with the house visits.
I'm not sure if Parole and Probation interests me at this point in time, but I'm just curious if you all think this would be a good thing to add to a resume when I apply as a Deputy?
