Loud exhaust, speeding and a whale tail spoiler

If you have no insurance , no drivers license and your plates are suspended by the DMV then ...

You shouldn't drive a car with a loud exhaust, drive it fast, have a LARGE white whale tail spoiler on a black car.

I caught up to this character , ran his plate and saw that it was suspended because the chaeck he used to renew his plates bounced. I stopped him and it turns out he is suspended for a DUI. His insurance was cancelled almost as soon as he got it because the check he sent them bounced. AND, he had a warrant for a BAD CHECK.

    Total damage

No insurance. $300 + 90 day loss of license

DUI suspended $500 and mandatory 60 days in jail. ( he was sober)

    Suspended Tags $ 100-$500

    Warrant fees were about $165.

Tow truck fees and last but not least , the wrath and FURY of his girlfriend who came to get him.

Those are the best! Here if you are driving on a suspended OL for an alcohol related offense (DUI) you also face your car being impounded for 60 days. That's not 60 in the police lot, it's 60 in the wrecker service lot so you pay towing and 60 days storage. I loooove my job!

I noticed you cited him for No valid insurance. Here in WA, if someone is suspended they can be cited for that (criminally) and NVOI (No Valid Operators Insurance) because the State of Washington has deemed... you dont have a license... you cant have insurance.

So if you get a suspended... you also get to pop them with a $538 NVOI cite :D . Like that anywhere else?

Many that get nailed with no insurance in TN come to court and use the "I don't have a car or a license" defense.

Judge gives them 30 days to get liability insurance or face a $500 fine. ;)

Convictions of no insurance nets a $5K fine in my area

He deserved everything he got especially since he had a fart can and a big wing. I have a vendetta against those turds that wreck a perfectly good car.

That's what I was thinking. I LOVE those 30 day impounds on tricked out cars. For some stupid reason guys who drive that type of car are fine with the ticket and added suspension, but flip at the impound. The last one I had told me "It's no big deal, I'll get a suspension and my mom will take me to get my car as soon as it gets to the lot." with a smirk on his face. That smirk disappeared REALLY quickly when I informed him that it wasn't just being towed but that it would have to sit at the tow lot for 30 days and he'd have to pay for storage.

Do your lockups charge their "visitors"?

Our county jail charges everybody for every day they are in there.

    I don't know.

If you get a fine only cite you can serve a day in jail for every $40 worth of fine if you don't have or don't want to spend the money to pay up.

Wow....I know this dude was a dummy....but this alone (for anyone else) is a slap on the wrist compared to Canada. Here it's $2800 and a tow (plus applicable towing/storage fees). Anyways, good job!
