I was surfing the net, and came across this recruitment page from the UK. Even though it is based on English policing, the scenarios could just as well be American, or anywhere else for that matter. Pretty nice scenarios, giving you an idea if you have what it takes to be a cop.

Looks like community policing has really taken off over there. What ever happened to good old fashioned cuffing and stuffing?

Didn't like the questions concerning the possible armed robbery... The options available seem to be to "soft." ah well, different culture over there I guess.

You gotta take into account that we probably respond much more aggressively since we are armed already. If you put yourself in the mindset of being unarmed it makes sense.

The trick to those questions was to select the most politically correct answer. That's about what I'd expect on an IACP website over here.

You guys are right the touchy feely pink and fluffy world of community Policing has landed with a vengeance over here. The only true answer is to hug everyone and help them to nurture there inner child in a safe and warm environment perhaps with whale noises playing gently in the background:rolleyes:

What happened to Police being authority figures rather than social workers? I don't know about you guys but I just want to cuff up the bad guys and mess sh!t up for all their cronies, or at least get my operator to do it while I'm having coffee:rolleyes:
