Well, he chose not to stop. The chase lasted about 4-5 minutes. When the suspect noticed the lights of another patrol car at the intersection in front of him, he decided to bail on foot.
I was almost out of the car before it came to a complete stop. I caught up to him and tried to use his momentum and just push him down. Well that didn't work as well as I had hoped, so I swept his leg and we went to the ground. I was o.k. until my partner, weighing in at 300+ lbs., landed on top of both of us.
After we placed the handcuffs on him, I started patting him down. I then found a bag of marijauna and crack in his right sock.
He has multiple charges, which will include 2 felonies. The best part of it all was that my supervisor didn't want me to write the report. All I had to do was type up a supplement and I was done.
This is how my face has been all day. ---> :D
Kudos to my partner who did a HECK of a job driving and staying very cool under pressure.
MAN I LOVE THIS JOB!!!
You have an ex-Nascar driver for an FTO as well heh? hehe
