I just got out of a visit with my Captain. He was saying that there was a recent study about our state. Turns out the city I work in is #2 only to Richmond for violent crime (per capita.) We are at the top of the state and among the best in the country for clearing cases too.
Yes, we are hiring for those of you who would like to live in the mountains in a rural setting with several acres but want a fun place to be a cop too.

We sure did! I was surprised too. I guess though that with crime as much stuff as we have going on compared to the number of residents we have, it really boosted our ratios. We have had 15 homicides (16 if the dude that was shot today gives up the ghost in the hospital) and less than 100,000 residents. Pretty busy for such a small city.

We do pretty decently in keeping the rif raf from the city out. I've had more than a couple thugs say "I'm heading back to the city, too much damn heat here" as we run them off. As for the robberies, bank robberies here are very, very few and far between. Most of ours are convenience stores and from individuals and most of the robbers are locals. There are about 4 or 5 neighborhoods and apartment complexes from which most of our robbers come from. We do get some from the city, but most of ours are done by locals.
