So a girl files a police report on me.

SO a few months ago this chick I used to like who goes to school over 100 miles away filed a report with the police up there cause she said I was harassing her by emailing her, being persistant. anyways she kept me hanging for a long time, and never really said no, just said she wasnt my type. Anyways she and I were always friendly, then one day she just went nuts on me and was always rude to me. Anyways a few months back she filed a report with the police up at school, and this cop leaves a message on my cell phone voice mail saying "This is officer so so from ****** IL police dept we have recieved a complaint by ****** ******** regarding emails to her and some postings. She does not want any contact with you in any shape or form, and anything you said about her needs to be removed or else we will send your local police to come and visit you, and Charges could be pending. Also let me remind you what you did is a civil violation, but that would be up to her. My name is officer #@#@#@#@ and if you have any questions you can call the ****** IL police dept at"

My question is I think its BS> All because I talk to some chick in a email I get a police report against me. I was wondering what does it mean when a basic police report is taken? Does it affect you getting a job? Also one of my hobbies is firearms. In Missouri like in alot of states you have to get a local permit which the Cheif approves. Would a simple police report show up on the background check? If so would the cheif not approve it since they have the option to deny anyone? I was really ticked at her.
