Sorry to hear it, Virginian. I always work more burgs during the holidays. You and I work for the money to pay for gifts, crims have Christmas on our dime.

Please do yourself a great help and personal favor to all in law enforcement. Get an alarm on your house. I would rather run 20 false alarms than one burg. And know whoever did this took inventory of your house, so it's time to protect against follow up.

Do you know the kids your children play with well? Too many times its the ones that come over to play games that you have not seen before that raid you. They should not be evasive with you if ask questions about themselves, to get to know them. If they are, be wary.

Did you get your stuff replaced? I was thinking that you could create an Amazon wish list we could work on fulfilling for you. That its, of course, only if your politically oriented books espouse views we agree with ;)

I appreciate the offer, Lily, and several other people have offered to get us stuff. The silver lining to the clouds that often pop into our lives is always nice to see. My wife and I are in decent shape financially, so we replaced the important things and got an alarm system.

I'm 100% behind giving to those in need, but I don't consider myself to be in need. Your offer, however, means more to me than I can say.

And I do believe my mom's (and my own!) political views align with the majority of folks here :D
