I'll tell you how to beat a traffic ticket...

Don't violate traffic law. It's simple, effective, and will save you from ever having to go to court. In addition, it may save your life.

Why do you think your city is willing to pay an officer 30 or 40 thousand dollars a year to sit on the side of the road and zap cars with his radar gun?

I just the love what the withering, weak minded, and desperate mind comes up with. Next thing you know, he'll be selling a "How to beat a domestic violence charge."

You could....just put that note in book form and advertise it as a way to avoid traffic tickets...straight from an active police officer. You'd sell a few!!!!

I bought a book one time called 'Cased Dismissed' and another called 'Speed Measuring Technology' just to see what "the other side" is teaching. Knowing your enemy is the first rule in combat.

It has taught me to hide better, use the instant on RADAR with more discretion (ie, don't just hold it down or measure every car..get the ones that are actually speeding), and take better notes after the cite. I catch people with RADAR detectors all the time. I love watching them hit the brakes as they go by (too late!).

It's a total cat and mouse game. I own a Valentine One RADAR detector and use it on road trips to study how other officers use RADAR. It has taught me a lot.
