Attitude toward officers...

Well mr. Beach 'Cop' (I was brought up to NEVER use the term 'cop'... it was like saying @$#@$# in our family... so old habits die hard!) if my children met you... they'd likely run up, pepper you with questions, the littles would hug you and thank you for keeping the 'bad guys' from hurting their family and ask you to tell daddy to go faster on the highway so we could get pulled over. For some reason my kids are DYING to get pulled over and say 'hi' to an officer. Sigh. (Where is the eye rollign emoticon when you need it???)

Then again, my teens on the other hand are NOT so eager to get pulled over. They know the price tag on tickets (gotta love driver's ed) and can think of much better ways to spend those dollars. (Ok, my teens are girls, they think their wardrobes are a better use of those dollars.)
So see... it could be worse.. .you could get mauled by our family! EEEK! *imagines danninator running for his life!*

Even when I was on the wrong side of an encounter I always knew there was someone doing his job. I never made it personal. I can look back now and realize it was for my good.

I catch that **** each and every day. Nobody seems to like the police in Memphis. I have been called everything in the book, but usually racist stuff (i.e. cracker, honkey, Punk *** white boy, etc.)

You dont know how many times I have stopped people and they tell me, "you stopped me because I was black!" I always respond, "Oh, your just saying that because I'm white" :D
