Pretty much the worst thing ever!

Today well (Friday) was OC day at the academy and I was the last one to go due to the fact that I was taking the pictures of everyone.

HOLY CRAP I wasnt expecting that at all! That was probably the worst experience ever.

Words cannot explain. and for all of you who are in the academy that have yet to do it, just wait.

And in terms of what the taser "feels like". It's basically indescribeable. In my words its the "most intensely unconfortable feeling I've ever had in my life"....not so much a pain...but it kidna was....

I thought the tear gas was worse than OC. OC friggin hurt but at least you can breath, Gas just made me panic.

I remember OC. I was hit with foam, because its what I was going to carry, and the certifier at my old employer was a sadistic son of a *****. I'd of rather taken the steamer, I wear glasses. Son of a *****, you could feel that crap melt down your face.

We didn't have to run the gauntlet, we only had to defend our red gun from attack. I "survived," at least. Had just gotten my 070 holster.

Anyone had streamer and foam? Which did you consider worse?

We had to do a 60 second course. (around that time) We get sprayed, do jumping jacks while reciting our Phonetic ABC's I did forward and backward no problem. Then we had go to the next station, find the baton, and hit the bag. Next station was a guy holding punching pads then the last was knee strikes to the bag and the guy would ask how many fingers he had up.

Yeah, getting OC'd does suck. But it's nowhere near the worst thing you'll ever have to do.

Wait'll you hit the street... you'll find yourself having to do stuff that'll make OC seem like cake walk.

Yeah im not sure when that will happen... But the thing with the taser, afterwards you are ok to where the damn OC its like hours of fun.

The spray bounced {kinda} opff IT and when I began to chase IT again I ran through the cloud of OC. My arms burned like all hell for 2 days. Turn the oven on to about 450 and put your forearms in there. Thats about it.

I fought for about 3 minutes. first hand to hand, then to baton to bag, then take to the ground, properly handcuff, and stand up. took about 3 minutes. I took my time after I got him handcuffed, I was in the first 3 man group to go into the chamber. 4 OC Clearout/CS tear gas mixture gas canisters set off in around a 10ft by 10ft room. Smoke was so thick, that when the door was opened so we could go in, I could barely see the instructor standing in the doorway. He said he thought he may have put a little too much into the room. Yeah, he wasn't kidding.

I don't know how long I was in there, all I knew was it burned to high hell, and the girl that went in with us, paniced and slammed into the door. It was so thick that when we were half of the groups were going, me and the first other two people, were still under the hose deconing and coughing up our lungs. It sucked, 'nuff said. :D
