FWIW, I chased a guy once and he was smart enough to stop when he saw the car coming at him. I would venture to say that I am faster than most people (not just cops, not just those reading this board, but MOST PEOPLE) and sometimes you need to use the car.
...now, back on topic: That is going to leave a mark!
