Its nice to know that there are people out there who will take the time to investigate what is being said. Personally I already know what I believe and I would never accept what Mike Moore has to say. But so many folks are persuaded of things just because they saw them on tv or in a movie.

Yes once again this shows the need for a club who's sole purpose is to point out stupid people to the world. Although only stupid people would not know who the other stupid people are, but we could always get together at club meetings and sing camp fire songs!:D

Michael Moore is a socialist/anarchist slob and I have no respect for anything he says, however I'm glad that someone took the time to debunk his load of garbage which saved me some time. Anyone see another one of his "do***entaries" Roger & Me? More of the same.....how sad that people accept these things as the truth.

Socialist/anarchist? Kind of an oxymoron - don't you think? You are either a socialist or anarchist, but never both. Roger and Me was never sold as a do***entary but more as a social commentary. Interesting character Roger Smith. He was one of the pioneers of the corporate self- destructive gang (a club that includes **** Brown of EDS, Carly Fioena of HP, the Enron gang, and others who have stripped corporations clean for their own gain)

Like so many other things - if you don't like Michael, don't patronize his movies and don't read his books. The publishers and movie studios will get the message. I for one don't agree with what he said at the Oscars, but don't dispute his right to say it.

My slash was intended to be translated as "or". I agree that he has the right to say these things, but I find it dispicable that he will not support the troops who protect his right to say them. Absolutely disgraceful!
I do agree with you about Smith being an interesting character however.
The disagreement comes with you idea that if we don't like something we should leave it alone. This proposition is ridiculous. Someone has to refute things like this and so it is important for people to have voices. So many people espouse the idea that free speech is ok as long as it agrees with what they want to say. There are at least two sides to every argument and so often people like Moore work to completely keep one side from having a voice.

From what I heard, his comtempt was for George Bush, and not the troops. (correct me if I am wrong). I know everyone knows my feelings for our third-rate President.

I never confuse issues. The war in Iraq. The support of our military, and the support of the President are three distinct and separate subjects.

Like I said before, if you dislike the man or his views, don't buy his wares. I think his political commentary is funny - but I don't take what he says on a personal level very serious.

I remind you that this view of the man are what is so dangerous about his messages........I think a lot of people don't think about things the way they should (not you as I realize you think about the things you say).

The librarian and libertarian is a joke. I have had quite a few people think that a libertarian is a liberal. (not that I have anything against liberals or conservatives, I am just not one).

My take on Michael Moore: Who cares what he thinks or says? Is what he says more important that what you say? No - I don't believe so. I could care less what an actor thinks about the government. I don't let actors, or political commentators (like O'Reilly, Limbaugh, and to the left Geraldo, etc) think for me. Why give this man a platform if you don't like what he is saying? Ignore him and he will go away. Was what he said wrong? In my opinion, no - he said what he beleived. Was he full of beans? My opinion: of course - but everyone with the bully pulpit tends to rant a bit (check out the local politician)
