Well I am not an LEO, so excuse me for answering something you were looking for but.....
Lately it is John Mayer. Just an awesome CD all together.
But Usually anything Hip Hop, helps me forget I work with idiots. Other times when I am alone at work it is good old George, or Natalie Merchant, or my future husband Dave Matthews. LMAO....
Can't really say I have a theme, just depends on the day....and how many people have pissed me off.

Same experience here
When I went on my ride along with Virginia State Police, Chad, my officer had the stereo on most of the time. He had a Sony Cd player in his car.

that seems kinda silly to me, why are they not allowed to listen to the radio? i listen to mine and the tape deck in it all the time. do you know how bored i would be without it? when i first go to work i listen to classic rock or rob zombie (kinda gets you in the mood), during the day mostly 80's, on the way home something soothing like the local magic network adult contemporary.
I do what I can do when I can do it.
