That's the reason for most free stops. PC for a stop, like someone else said.

As always, LBomb - Good point! (Not to mention I just saw a do***entary on Son of Sam that scared the heck out of me!). Your attitude is one of a COP, and that is a high compliment. I see some cops in here who act like they are in high school, but I can see the same personality in you as I do with the guys I work with.
And Charlie, same thing. You are a COP. Are you a negotiator, by any chance? Do you wear any other hats other than patrolman?
Thank you, Stump. I do consider it acomplimnt. I have a saying that anyone can be a police officer, but bu not all of them are cops.
Amen LEBomb, my info is that several of the 911 terrorists, including Mohammed Atta were stopped by troopers or cops for traffic infractions. You NEVER know what is coming out of a vehicle.
Blessed are the Peacemakers...
LBomb I am not disagreeing I just didnt understand what he ment by freestop. I am getting ready to attend the Philadelphia Police Acadmey but not in it yet and I guess I will learn these things soon enough. I see you are also from philly and am wondering if you are a cop there. If so Id like to ask you a few questions. Thanx Elisa

Basically what I mean is, what seperates the good cops from the guys that are just there to get paid ? I have some I dea from the people I work with, but I don't even have a year on the job yet. My greatest fear is becoming one of "them" "they" make me sick. They don't deserve thier title. Maybe they have forgotten that it is earned, and desreves respect, although it rarely gets it... etc.Originally posted by LBomb
