Cell Phone DangerS

Someone once brought up the issue of why people aren't allowed access to their cell phones during a traffic stops...I had mentioned exactly these cell phone guns:

Per a CNN report today:

ROUEN, France (Reuters) -- French police said Friday they had seized two lethal mobile phones capable of shooting four bullets, with the digital touchpads used as triggers.

The black phones, identical to normal mobile phones on the outside, were discovered in a raid on a suspected criminal's home Tuesday in the northern city of Rouen.

The deadly phones come apart in the middle to reveal a four-chamber compartment for .22 caliber bullets, which can be shot out of a protruding fake antenna.

"These would be lethal at 10 meters," said Michel Lavaud, head of a local police brigade.

Police seized the telephones along with 1,000 ecstasy pills, heroin, cannabis and $25,000 in cash at the home of a man suspected of armed robberies and drug trafficking.

Lavaud said police thought the weapons were of a kind believed to be made in Eastern Europe and to have appeared in Belgium and the Netherlands in 2001.

Very informative post Jenna. These have become abundantly available in the black market after having been adopted by two small arms manufacturers of which is in Israel. I, personally have two similar items which you can read about here http://www.stingerpengun.com/dealers.htm although legal in every right, these type of weapons open up a new world of concern for us especially in the raised level of concern of terrorism and other threats we live in today.

Yup they have been around for a long time...thus the reason I brought them up awhile ago. We used to have the video posted in our "restricted access" area before we removed that area...amazing ****...

Heys guys as a newbee to law enforcment i gotta tell ya this is real scary stuff. Although i dont think things like this should be outlawed...not at all. I think this just goes to show the public even more why you should LISTEN to the police when they tell you to do something and also shows hhow hard a job you really have
