Zander, where do you get your' info that police "run" child porn sites? Have you worked with a Child Porn Task Force like FBI's Innocent Images or Customs Child Exploitation Unit? There are some techniques used by law enforcement to ferret out those who would violate US laws regarding exploitation of children (18 USC 2251, 2252, 2252(A), etc), but running porn sites is not one of them.

Sorry Swat, but your are incorrect. I am aware of at least two PD's running sting sites.

I get my information from a former Lt who headed up such an operation. - I didn't get much into detail, but you know that our government does a lot of things that are a bit sideways..

Sorry, about that. Didn't think about local PD's. I guess I made an assumption because of federal experience. I have to say, I am not aware of every state or local law. My bad.

Well Zander I wouldn't like it one bit if they used my child as bait. And what I posted was just a guess and not a professional opinion. YOu make valid points and I would certainly like to know how they do those sights. Maybe you should ask that Lt. maybe he can give some insight.

Hey guys im sure you know however i will inform you anyway. I suppose what is worse then actuall sites is the fact that ther are plenty of sick people out there who put pics of there own kids just out at random..not even on a site. I m suret hat you all are very familier with Winmix, Napster and the like? Well as im sure you all know these sites are more then just for downloading songs, you can also download pics, and movies. There millions of images and videos, homevidoes, mind you fo little kids with parents making them masterbate or do all sorts of other crude sexual things. There is also the big hidden camera "thing" this is very common in college where guys will have there sex with there girlfriends while taping the whole act without there knowledge. They then place this on the internet for the whole world to veiw at there lesire. I recently graduated from college and my roommates used to download this all the time. Its everywhere and there is nothing that we can do. I am fully in favor so called "entrapment" if you are not breaking the law then there is nothing to worry about. Now this may be a very blk or white few but i do get a little emotional over this at timmes
