As much as I hate to admit it, maany many many years ago I learned the lesson on the streets. After booking in a suspect I checked the back seat per SOP and found a gun under the seat cushion. It was not under there at the beginning of shift. Makes u think Hard. It still happens occasionally when some one gets lazy. No matter how hard we train there are still some who won't learn. So far it hasn't resulted in a fatility, thank god!

I don't think it is right that females are allowed to search males and not the other way around (if that is the way you do things). Men should have the same rights as women.
One of our former city cops was just convicted last week for inappropriately touching women (26 of them) when he pulled them over on traffic stops. He is going to jail for quite some time now.

Well he did ask you to "frisk" him which is different to a full search. If he said, "search" then ask him to strip. I think the guy was just playing games with you. A Terry frisk is a search of outer clothing for a weapon, based on reasonable suspicion. If you have PC to suspect a weapon, strip them down. .

911, you hit the nail on the head. i was just going to mention that he asked you to perform a terry frisk, not a search. there is a difference.

Thanks again for the opinions and responses. I also did not mention that this particular professor is about the most intimidating guy I have ever met, beacause he is SO
smart!!! He has a J.D. from Georgetown Law, as well as some other even more advanced law degree. He is by far the best teacher I have ever had, and also the hardest. I can't even describe how amazing this guy is, even if I don't agree with some of his opinions. We have speant the last week talking about seizures, and now we are talking about searches, stop and frisk, and search incident to arrest. I had a HuGE argument with another girl in my class when she said that the Police don't have the right to do an investegory (sp) stop of a person based on facts provided by informant. heh. We are continuing the argument tomorrow.
