    Question J Net?

So talk to me about J Net. I am obviously spelling it incorrectly because I can't find anything on line about it. I want to do some research before I meet on the state level about the Premise Alert Form we are putting together for PA.

    Thank you

A friend sent me the link. It's PA specific. Here is the information below

    The Justice Network (JNETtm)
    *
Pennsylvania’s Justice Network (JNET tm) is a secure virtual system for the sharing of justice information by authorized users.
    *
JNET is a collaborative effort of municipal, county, state, bordering states and federal justice agencies to build a secure integrated justice system. Prior to*JNET, each state agency had its own computer systems and databases. This resulted in a fragmented justice environment in which information sometimes took days or weeks to get to the appropriate agencies. JNET helps solve this problem and represents an unprecedented leap forward in information sharing and cooperation among local, county, state and federal agencies. JNET provides a common on-line environment whereby authorized users can access offender records and other justice information from participating agencies.
    Thanks anyway

The MOST use we get out of it is to get certified driving records of a suspended/revoked driver. That and getting a drivers license/ ID photo when people play the name game. There are some other uses involving checking for warrants, probation and parole status etc.

Currently we can only access it from the station due to the modem speed of the system.

We can only get PA info for now.
