Since when is it summer? Grey skies, 60's and rain here. But it's wonderful sailing weather.
Stay safe everybody.

I know exactally what your talking about. I don't drink enough either and really need to start keeping track of how much water I drink.
I few weeks ago I bought one of those 32 oz water bottles and really need to drink at least two of them a day.
When I'm working out a lot I use a 2 liter pop bottle. Drink an entire bottle a day. Once I got used to drinking water more, that actually wasn't enough, started going through 3 liters a day. Felt much better though, and it kept me off the pop. I should really start that again, as I now have 3 empty cans on my desk in front of me. heheOriginally Posted by Ranger__101

Water's good, but electrolytes (i.e. salt) are what keep you hydrated. ;)
Propel is said to be some of the best stuff on the market and is recommended by many cyclists. I was on my bike today. Little busy at the airport, but no arrests on 2-10p shift. Midnights oughta pick up a DUI.
Oh yea, 88 today and Partly cloudy (TN). ;)
Summer isn't quite here in CT. But, water is something people need to think about drinking more. Especially with the vest. I have about totally weaned myself off soda (and iced tea) over the last five years or so; I probably have drank maybe 2 cans in the last year or so. My problem is that I can't get past the coffee. One or two cups before I head to work, then one or two while at work. I do stop coffee intake after 0400 so I can sleep when I go home. But, on the other hand, I drink a LOT of water or one of the sports drinks.
Interesting thread though, because it got me thinking about an article I read last year. It seems a person can drink too much water and it's bad to be "over-hydrated". Anyone know of the current thinking of our health experts? I forgot to save the article and don't know if it was junk-science or not.
Good question. Check this link.Originally Posted by CTUCop

we should be getting our first 100 degree day today or tomorrow. Good times.
My wife left me alone with a case of Corona, a bag of limes and the cat. Beer is gone. What will I do with the extra limes and the cat?
With the talk of electrolytes and all, I thought I'd pass this on. If you're drinking Gatorade, or other similar drinks, you should consider diluting it to a 50/50 Gatorade and water solution. This is according to a certified athletic trainer I knew. Apparently, the sugars are too concentrated or something. Cheers, and stay safe!
