I've been allowed to do a ride along with the dept I'm in the hiring process. I plan on taking notes and observing everything I can. A particular LEO who frequents this board regularly is taking me. Anyone care to guess who it is?
Update: Still waiting for an invitation for the oral board. If I do well on that I believe I have a decent shot at getting a offer. The wait has given me time to get in shape and prepare for the interview. I'm still pretty nervous because of the few depts. I've applied at this is where I want to go. The academy at this particular dept seems to be head and shoulders above some of the others I've seen.
