AKRON, Ohio -- An Akron police officer responding to a call Friday night was assaulted by a knife-wielding 8-year-old girl.
Police said Sgt. Jeffrey Shaffer suffered a minor cut on the forearm. The girl charged at officers with a kitchen knife as they were arresting her mother and the mother's boyfriend.
Police arrested 36-year-old Clifford Campbell after someone called to say Campbell was threatening to shoot people at an apartment complex.
Police said as they were handcuffing him and a woman came out of an apartment yelling for them to leave him alone.
The girl is not being charged and police are withholding her mother's identity

I think 8 yrs old is enough to charge unless she has something mental going on (abuse, handicapp, etc). Tased would have been funny. SHe would have really flopped around.

Now Cincinnatti PD handcuffed a 5 year old and got in big trouble for it, and the media is still all over it. Too bad they cant see other other side.
