No, no, Valor should use the Major as the guinea pig for getting drunk and breath tested!

I do have a bunch of pictures of funny wrecks (including one with a Ferrari upside down in the road.) I also have videos including a gory fatality so I got that covered too.

I have a different class I'll be teaching specifically with FST's and I will have a live drinking exercise with that class. This one tomorrow is all day legal stuff.

    Thanks for the encouragement.

Powerpoint always takes the audience off you and puts it on the screen, if you are a little nervous about public speaking. Or, you are seeking full attention so, picture giving your entire family a pep talk. You have the most confidence speaking to family members.

Regardless of what you do, I know you will make that the most interesting class and it will give you a reputation of being an awesome instructor!

Well it went really well. The class was pretty engaged especially for a Friday. The morning went really fast and I panicked at lunch time that I was going to run out of material too soon. However the afternoon material went really slow and it all balanced out. The prosecutor that helped me said she's seen the material taught a bunch of different times and it was very dry and difficult but my presentation was really good. The Major never showed however the Captain did and was interested in making it a little shorter and running the whole department through it for a legal update on DUI. That was encouraging. I'm doing the same class again next Friday for another group.

Well done - those who haven't done it think teaching a bunch of cops is easy. I've been doing it for years and I can tell you it's not. Back when I used to teach promotional evening classes that were assessable I used to ask students to check their weapons at the door before I handed out graded assignments :D

As you would no doubt be aware, teaching adults isn't like teaching kids (I couldn't teach kids, I've taught adolescents in a further education class and the body piercings kept putting me off) and you have to take into account that they have much life experience and technical knowledge. It's over now but the one thing I would have said was - don't bluff. If you don't know the answer, say so and then get back to them. I do that and so far it's never resulted in a class riot
