    stupid kid

Ok heres how my day wen't. Me and this one girl go over to one of her friends house, and he asked us if we wanted to go to get an application at sonic burger with him. We said ok and we went. So were driving and i notice he is slurring his speech a little. Im thinking ok mabey he's tired. Then he pulls a 6 pack of miller out from under the seat and cracks one while hes driving and starts drinking it. he's like 16 by the way.

Im like dude what are you doing. He says don't trip man ive only had 7 this will be my 8th. Mean while im trying to get him to stop the car so i can drive. He says I drive drunk more that I drive sober

Meanwhile hes already going 80 in a 40.Then blew through a red light on purpose. Im like pull over now! This seriously isnt funny at all.
Anyway he pulls over and I take over for him. He was gonna kill somebody!
Now if I got pulled over (which could have been very easy because im sure everybody in town got his plates) I would have open container and MIP. Luckily we got to his house, and i kept his keys till he sobered up. Hes like 5'10 180, im like 6'4 230 so he couldent do anything about it :D

Just another classic example of some stupid kid who takes everything for granted (his life, his license, and others lifes)

This whole incident just pissed me off.

he is such an idiot. I hope he does get a DUI so he can learn his lesson, and wake up to real life where he realizes that he could have killed somebody and ruined a familys life forever.

If someone tried that with me in the car, I would kick his ***, especially some punk kid. Then I would tell the local coppers about how he brags about drink driving and have them sit off his house.

When are you going to find some new friends?

If you would have gotten pulled over while driving him back home you would have severe consequences. I'm glad you got him to pull over and let you drive, but you should have gotten rid of the open containers before driving anywhere.

Now that the friend is sober, you should try talking to him and showing him how stupid that whole situation was.

I have a bad feeling if you continue to hang out with these people, you will never wear a badge.

You're going to have to decide what is more important to you.

Dolphin is spot on. I don't remember who said it or the exact quote but here it is. You can tell alot about a person by looking at the company they keep. You can't choose your family, but you can choose your friends.

Yeah im gonna have a talk with the drunk driver (my second time meeting him) and some of my other quote friends.

Im just gonna lay it straight, either they get smart and stop doing stupid immature things that could get me in trouble with the law and possibly ruin my dream job or they can loose me as a friend.

If they are true friends they will stop breaking the law.
and realize that what they do could affect me and my future job. ;)

Your friends are beyond any talking. You need to get away from them, stay away from them, and find some new friends. Period.

That guy driving has a very serious alcohol problem. Especially since he admitted driving more drunk than sober. If he isn't an alcoholic yet he will be very soon, if he lives. Do you want to be in the car when he dies? You'll probably go with him.

You are judged by the company you keep. Get some better class friends. Get involved with an LE explorer post like a lot of the teenagers on this board. You start hanging out with people who have similar goals you do and you'll be fine.

Good job getting him to let you drive, that potentially saved your life.

And if you want to be a cop, you might want to think about learning to write using proper English.
