I have to say that I am shocked at some of the responses that are posted to questions on this site. In the Ask-A-Cop forum, there is a thread entitled something like "Federal Question". The person who posted it seems to have a mental illness. I cannot believe the way he/she is being lambasted and torn to shreds on the thread. Does it make some of you feel better to be harrassing a mentally-ill person? If the question seems ludicrous or out-there, why not either (1) ignore it, or (2) give the person USEFUL advice on seeking help from a psychologist.

And some of you wonder why some people have problems with cops! I am not saying that you have to be on your best behavior all the time on this site. Given how stressful and difficult your jobs are, I know you need a forum where you can talk freely with like-minded people. But, making fun of the mentally-challenged or ignorant just smacks me of bullying.

I'll probably get banned from the site for saying all of this, but here it is anyway. SHEESH!!!

First of all, please do not cross-post. Your threads will get viewed enough times in only one area of the forum. Secondly, I can't see this turning into anything remotely close to a constructive discussion so I will close this.

I want to say though, that you need to look at all the BS that gets passed on towards the LEO members of this forum. If they are getting upset at other people, maybe there is an underlying reason. Just something to think about I suppose...
