Gentleman Club Rules

Legislation is in the process in TN to change the laws regarding the rules in gentlemen clubs (yes, nudie bars). As of now, table dances and lap dances are permitted, but the new law will not allow patrons/customers within three feet of the dancer. What are the rules in your neck of the woods??

I'm wonderin if this will also cut down the amount of prostitution busts at these clubs as well. :D

The rules here are that the dancers cannot be touched by the patrons. Pensacola will not allow those type of clubs here anymore. There is one in the City and four in the County. Only three out of five are dirtbag places.

When I was working a case involving the murder of a dancer, my partner and I went to a bunch of the joints where she had danced.

The vast majority of the dancers were pretty scuzzy to say the least. The larger joints seemed to operate on the up and up, but several of the little neighborhood bars went way over the line. The dancers aren't supposed to touch patrons and vice versa, but in the little joints, it was borderline prostitution.

Unfortunately, our vice has far too much to do to have time to deal with the little places and apparently they know that. But they don't generate police calls and the neighbors don't get upset.

Well, I've been to Deja Vu a few times. They can touch you, you can't touch them. I've heard stories from strippers about what happens "upstairs" where the big $$$$ dances are though.

I was never a fan of strip joints. The beer cost way too much and the dancers were usually outlaw bikers' old ladies. And here, organized crime has been trying to muscle in on the business. Personally, I never found them all that appealing.

I had a funny night (on-duty) at a strip-club in my town. I got a fight call there between a bouncer and a patron. The patron got tossed out for offering $100 for oral sex in the VIP room. He offered 5 dancers the same thing before getting tossed and punching a bouncer on his way out.

So, the guy calls 911 to report being "manhandled" by the bouncer and tells his story (including the $100 proposition). Not only did I not arrest the bouncer, but I arrested the patron for soliciting a prostitute and loitering for the purpose of soliciting a prostitute!!

Man was he mad!!!! Had he only seen the girls in the light... he would have thanked that bouncer for saving him from a lifetime supply of Valtrex!!! :D

Been there in S.Cal, 100 pretty dancers and 1 ugly one. Right? Beautiful women as I remember. And all smarter than me too since they were UCSD students.

Try Deja Vu. No alchohol. Very classy if you appreciate the female form. Wasn't what I expected during the School of Infantry in Marine Corps schooling. A complete education in what dancing can be. If you have any taste whatsoever of the female form in motion, kind of like a college class I took, this is the only place I visited as a single man that took appreciation of females for what it is. Only place I'd call a "Gentlemans Club".
