I was waiting to have my Recruit Orientation before posting this. I had it last night so I think it is safe to say that I am HIRED!
Well as has already been mentioned in a previous post I have been lucky enough to be hired by a local PD.. I begin their Academy on May 3rd, yet begin with the City on the 2nd. I can honestly say that I am the happiest I have been since my kids were born. This is something I have wanted to do for a long time and have spent the last 6 months going through hiring processes to try and see my dream come true. As Star previously posted I had one disappointment that really turned out perfect, as I am starting with one of my two original choices for departments to work.
To everyone that is considering a career in Law Enforcement, I recommend that you stick around here and soak up every bit of info that is made available. The men and women on this site are amazing and will give you everything you need to begin, then leave it up to you to "bring home the gold".
Unfortunately, I expect that my time on this site will be a bit more limited, as I will be busy for the next 6 months, but I will still be around and will be back and verified, soon. :D

I've had the pleasure of sharing pm's and emails with Mike since the onset. He's the greatest guy, the best father and friend. I couldn't be happier for him. His first disappointment wasn't as bad now that he got hired. He didn't tell you all but he was debating between the two departments and chose the one he was just hired onto. My point? All you LEO hopefuls keep your chin up and keep trying. Not to get all religious here but God knows what's best for you and you will have it if you do the right things.
Mike, you're awesome and I'm so happy you're dreams were fulfilled!!! You really deserve this.
