There's a difference between serious and respectful discussion of topics (whether they be controversial or no) and harassing, meaningless dribble (spamming, flooding, etc.)
I just want to clarify that my views on open discussion were not intended to support the clowns that get on here and spew nonsense, just so they can see their names 'in print' so to speak.
I was not aware of the practices of posters like T-2 and T-3 (who were on last night), when I raised certain issues a couple of days ago. I assumed, probably incorrectly, that everyone participating herein was a responsible adult.
I think you guys have a very unique, educational and valuable web site here. If we weather the storm of idiots, they'll get bored and go bother someone else. I still do not believe I deserved any warning for my post, as it was submitted, I thought, in a respectful manner. If you look over my past participation herein, you will see I am not like the spammers.
It's just my nature, I like to discuss things. I like to challenge people's views. Not necessarily because I disagree, just because it makes for interesting conversation. It's my training, I guess. (i'm a lawyer - making the switch to law enforcement).
Tx, I hope we can get off to a new and better start.
Thanks,
Mark
