    New bike patrol uniforms

This year we are getting new bike patrol uniforms. I have to choose the color and shirt. We want to use our real badge so I need something with badge eyelets. We don't want a patch.

Just want to know what colors we should get. We are going with "coolmax" shirts from Olympic uniforms or the polo type shirts from Blauer.

Does anyone know of these at all?

    CoolMax

    Blauer

Navy blue all the way. Yellow just doesn't lend itself well to the whole "I'm a cop, you better respect my authority " look, IMHO. :D

Our new bike shirts are black. Don't ask why. They are hot!!

Why badge on your bike uniform and no patch? Just extra weight on the light polo-type shirt.

So that would be a yes, I take it? You gotta remember, my definition of hot is gonna be somewhat different that yours. You don't know hot until you've spent a humid, sweaty summer in Houston.

No, It never gets hot enough here for my likings. Humid...but hot..definately not.

I have had hot and humid in GA, and would not go back to that..that was miserable...but give me the desert and I am there!

We have used the sewn badge from quartermaster. Don't really like the quality or the look.

I think someone should contact my58vw, I'm sure he would have something to say about bike patrol uniforms. :D

I would really suggest going with the Blauer shirt and going with the badge patch on it. I've had the Blauer shirts and the badge just weighs it down to much, where a patch would not and I think they look just as good with a patch on the shirts.

    Why the Blauer shirt?

And my58vw said his tin foil badge doesn't weight the shirt down too much. :D
