CUMBERLAND CITY, Tenn. - A school bus driver was shot as she drove her route Wednesday morning and a male student was taken into custody, authorities said.
The driver was the only person on the bus and the student had not yet boarded when the shooting occurred, Tennessee Bureau of Investigation spokeswoman Jennifer Johnson said.
The condition of the driver was not immediately known. The student was identified only as a teenager.
Stewart County school superintendent Phillip Wallace declined to identify the driver, other than to say she had worked for the schools for two years.
Cumberland City is about 50 miles northwest of Nashville.

Update: The driver was killed. :( Shooter appears to be 15, and is of course the typical "good kid... [whose] parents loved him to death."

I bet you there are gonna be alot more killings since that no death penatly law was passed for the teenagers. :mad:
