OK, OK... enough with the lights!! Lets get down to the "nuts & bolts".. WHAT'S powering that Impala?? Is it the normally aspirated 3.8 Series II V6 or is it the supercharged version??

I thought they stopped making the supercharged version. I know the next generation impala is going to have a 5.3 liter V8Originally Posted by 207
And I think with this lawsuit thats going on with ford and police agencies, Chevy will be stepping it up because more people will be buying impalas

No, they're still making it but with Chevy only in the Impala SS and I believe the Earnhart Monte Carlo.Originally Posted by do0dfromcali

I agree with you on the Fords we have 2 2003's that are in my opinion lemons. Misfire / hardstart / no start problems / bad rear axles / all kinds of electrical problems, etc. Unfortunately the dept just ordered 2 more Fords.
We have 2 98 Chevy Lumina's that just keep plugging along with around 80,000+ miles each. Sure they've had some problems but, nothing like the C/V's with half the mileage or less.
Mmmmm I would love to corner strobe the piss out of that car.
I wish depts would order the supercharged version. That'd be nice.

Valor-Thanks for the idea. I am going to do that right now :D

Well, I liked #3 so much I made it my Windows background. :D
Snow? Sorry, I'm from Texas. If it snows at all here it's one day per year and it doesn't really stick. I can see where FWD would be a benefit in snow, but I just don't like the way a FWD car handles. I'd have concerns about a FWD car like the Impala holding up to heavy use and pursuit driving. It's not like you get in a pursuit very often, but when you do I don't think the FWD inspires a lot of confidence.Originally Posted by do0dfromcali
