    Question Homeland Security powers?

I'm curious, what new authority and powers does the Homeland Security Act grant to state and local LEOs?

I thought the Homeland Security Act only pertained to the Feds.
Its astounding, time is fleeting and madness takes its toll, but listen closely, not for very much longer, cause I've got to keep control...

    Homeland Security Act

As I understand the Homeland Security Act, it has many provisions,

Creation of Cabinet Office, Secretary of Homeland Security to encompass numerous Federal Law Enforcement Agencies. The major provision will be a coordinated effort for the Security of the US.

Establish shared resources with State and Local Law Enforcement to identify, train, and response to Terrorist Attacks in the United States. Coorperative agreements will be establish with State and Local Law Enforcement to meet the threats of Terrorists.

Coordinated efforts for Transportation, Marine, Border Security of the US. Include State and Local Law Enforcement in this effort when Security threats are heighten.

Arrest, prosecution and prison will be the reponsibility of the United States Government.

Hope this helps, if I can be of assistance, let me know
