All troopers assigned to the Forensic Services Unit are issued Nikon N90S's per capita. We also have one Fuji Finepix S2 per troop unit. The S2 was selected for compatability of Nikon lenses. I use my personal Canon 10D at scenes so I don't have to rely on traking down the Fuji when I need it. Our SOP still mandates silver based photography for scenes with digitals merely as backup. I have yet to have a defense attorney question me on the stand as to whteher a particular photograph being presented was taken with 35-mm film or with a digital media.
