Just wanted to thank you guys for your help in answering any questions I've had. I found out on Tuesday that I've been hired with the Orange County Sheriff's Department and the academy starts on the 28th.
I guess I have to call LA County and LAPD and have them take me out of their process.

Congrats!!!! I just got hired on a department about 2 weeks ago. Nothing like the stress of waitting for that phone call huh?!!!!!

Congratulations. OCSO is a great department. I would wait until day one of the academy to take your name out of the hat. Congrats again though, that is awesome.

Congrats!! I would agree, though, with some of the other posts in that you should wait to take your name of off the hiring list of other departments. You never know what could happen.
