They take the plate from where it was orginally,
and bondo it side ways and up higher on the rear end of the automobile.
Wish I had a picture to show.
So far I've seen them on Hondas, and trucks.

In SC the tag has to be horizontal and no closer than 12 inches from the ground or its ticket time.

So what if the car is slammed to the ground or the car is a lambogini or viper or one of those other lower to ground vehicels?

No factory cars are less than 12 inches even the low sitting ones. Altered cars like lowering or slamming them is in violation.

So it's another trend to defy the law.
They are a pain to read. Sometimes not even possible.
New challenge for me. I can't pull them over. I can only get a plate number and call it in.
Is it the front or back ones that need to be 12" or is it both?

My question is what do y'all do about the trucks that are made with hitches right in front of the plate? Technically the plate is not supposed to be obstructed, but technically it came like that so the person isn't violating anything.
The repositioning the plates is something I haven't seen yet.

We only have rear plates. Ill stop obstructed tags for hitches but dont write them.
